Orange Challenge to write as many letters as you can hear using your phonics. Red Challenge to write a menu so it can be read by others. To write descriptions of the foods on your menu. We are going to re-write the story of Super Daisy by choosing a different planet for her to visit.   Green Challenge to re-write  the story of Super Daisy using some recognisable letters. Orange Challenge to re-write  the story of Super Daisy using your phonics and using finger spaces. Red Challenge to re-write  the story of Super Daisy  with at least 3 key events. Making sure it can be read by others and has  capital letters and full stops. What we have been doing in Foundation Stage 2.2.15 – 13.2.15

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at the nursery rhyme “Mary, Mary Quite Contrary”.We have talked about our own gardens and been to visit Lucy’s Orchard. We talked about the similarities and differences between the two. We also planted cress and watched it grow! In Leopards we have been looking at flowers with numbers on and talking about our gardens.                                       Leopards had a lovely time during their Parents activity sessions, thank you to all the parents who attended.                                                                                           For the last two days of half term we have enjoyed learning all about Chinese New Year!! We have sung songs, made a stir fry, tasted traditional food, drawn Chinese numbers and made some lanterns. We loved reading the story of the animal race and we now know that this year will be the year of the Goat.                                      ...

Year 3 have been busy this half term learning all about the Romans! We have learnt about the daily life, the language, how the empire grew and the army. To round off this topic we put on a play about the famous Celtic Queen Boudicca. Parents came and watched the children retell the story of how the Iceni tribe came to a brutal end when the Romans decided they wanted all the land.
