A “poisson d’avril” ( April’s Fish) is a joke made on April 1st. In France, children try to stick a fish picture on their friends’ back. When the joke is discovered, they shout “poisson d’avril !”. We loved it and we even put some fishes on teachers’ backs.
Yesterday Year 5 discovered the website Language Angels and played some revision games. They absolutely loved it.
Nottingham University ‘s UNICEF society launched their partnership with our school by leading two assemblies (KS1 and KS2) and various workshops.
The workshops were enjoyed by the children in years 3,4 and 5.The workshops focused on three specific rights: the right to play, the right to an Education and the right to have clean water.
Our RRSA steering group look forward to working with Nottingham University in promoting the message of RRSA.
