Mad Science Assembly 2011

We all love a Mad Science Assembly, and this year was no exception.  Super Sonic Suzie visited us this week and brought along a variety of interesting and intriguing items to show to us.

We were all very intrigued by the circular disk that she had behind her but we didn't have to wait too long to find out what it was for!

It was a personal, portable hover board; not too dissimilar to the ones in Back to the Future!  The only trouble with this one was that it needed to be plugged in at all times.  Suzie used this to show us the power of air.  She also demonstrated the power of air by making objects hover in mid-air.

Mad Science will be running an after school club on Thursdays again this year after the Easter holidays.  Everyone from Year One upwards should have received a letter from their class teacher with information about the club.  If you are interested in attending the club then the money needs to be sent to the address at the bottom of the letter, unfortunately we cannot accept the money at school.  We can't wait for Mad Science to come back to Middleton again soon.
