Science Week Part III
StarLincs Mobile Planetarium
Science Week continued with a mobile planetarium visiting the school for the day. A giant, inflatable dome was placed in the school hall and some classes had the chance to go inside and find out all about the Sun, Moon and Stars and space travel. Children in Foundation 2 joined classes 3 and 4 to find out about Neil Armstrong travelling to the moon and saw some pictures of the planets in our solar system before being plunged into total darkness to do some star spotting. We saw some of the different constellations that we might see in the sky at night time at this time of the year. Classes 9 and 10 looked at the different planets in the solar system and also looked at a star scape.
We all had a great time inside the planetarium and enjoyed being in complete darkness. If you would like any more information about StarLincs, please click here
