Entitlements and Benefits
We aim to inform our parents of the benefits that they and their children are entitled to. On this page we will keep you updated with relevant information.
Did you know that if you receive at least one of the following benefits:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- the gaurantee element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit but NOT receiving Working Tax Credit and your annual income does not exceed £16,190 (NB: this limit is set for April 2011 to March 2012 and may change in the future)
- support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
and your child/children are aged 16 or under AND attend a Nottingham City school, you are entitled to -
FREE school meals
Save up to £8 per week, per child.
All meals are prepared on a daily basis in our very own kitchens by well-trained and friendly school cooks. A free school meal includes a two-course hot or cold meal at lunchtime.
FREE clothing allowance
Save up to £18-24, per child in the following years Reception, Year 1 and Year 4
FREE school milk
School Milk - helping our children grow stronger
If your child/children:
*is/are aged over 5 AND
*attends a Nottingham city school full-time AND
*is eligible for free school meals and is year 1 and/or year 2 at school
then you are eligible and your child(ren) can receive Free School Milk.
All children under 5 attending school or nursery full time will receive Free School Milk.
Milk is packed full of calcium, protein and other nutrients that help children to develop strong bones and to grow into healthy adults.

Did you know?
School will receive £430 for any child aged 4-15 known to be eligible for Fre School Meals. This money helps towards trips, educational resources and makes a big difference to the school and your child's education.
