RRSA and School Council have been working hard to produce their own School Improvement Plan and here it is:
Middleton Primary and Nursery School
School Improvement Plan 2018-19
Make sure that the Rights Respecting School Award is part of everyone’s education at Middleton and try to achieve the Gold award again.
Make sure that the adults who help run the school (staff and governors) are working together to do the best they can for everyone at Middleton.
Keep the school running as normally as we can during the building works, and be ready for having an extra class start each year.
Teaching and learning
Teachers will try to help us to get even better at Maths and Writing. We will be given more time to do longer pieces of Writing by ourselves.
When we find things harder in Reading, Writing and Maths, teachers will try to give us extra help so we can catch up.
Have you seen our wonderful jigsaw on the playground? Every child in the school helped to make this beautiful jigsaw which shows all the values we share at Middleton: Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect And Tolerance of those of different Faith And Beliefs
Our whole school were involved in our Global Values Week .Each year group focused on a different Global Value and we ended the week with a whole school celebration , in the sunshine accompanied by some Samba music!
What a lovely afternoon! The whole school enjoyed a lovely picnic at Wollaton Park on Monday 25th July. Lots of parents and grandparents shared some delicious food with the children. We were very lucky with the weather! It was a lovely opportunity for the children to just chat away with their friends and relatives in the sun! UNCRC: Article 3: All adults should do what is best for you. When adults make decisions, they should think about how their decisions will affect children.
