RRSA and School Council have been working hard to produce their own School Improvement Plan and here it is:
Middleton Primary and Nursery School
School Improvement Plan 2018-19
Make sure that the Rights Respecting School Award is part of everyone’s education at Middleton and try to achieve the Gold award again.
Make sure that the adults who help run the school (staff and governors) are working together to do the best they can for everyone at Middleton.
Keep the school running as normally as we can during the building works, and be ready for having an extra class start each year.
Teaching and learning
Teachers will try to help us to get even better at Maths and Writing. We will be given more time to do longer pieces of Writing by ourselves.
When we find things harder in Reading, Writing and Maths, teachers will try to give us extra help so we can catch up.
On Thursday 8th November, Year 5 and Year 6 were invited to take part in the Games of Remembrance at Meadow Lane Stadium where the British Army played a friendly football game against the German Armed Forces. The event was very moving and our pupils behaved beautifully during the whole ceremony.
The Nottingham High School Festival took place last week and our cricket team won all their matches. The boys displayed amazing skills and unity in adversity during some difficult games. Well done! You are Champions!
They’ve done it again! For two years in a row now, our Middleton Table Tennis team has been crowned Champions. Competing against 10 other schools, they managed to win all their matches. They displayed tremendous skills and professional concentration during the tournament. Well done!
Yesterday Year 5 discovered the website Language Angels and played some revision games. They absolutely loved it.
We took part in the “Girls Can” event at Harvey Hadden Leisure center. Middleton was proud to be part of this initiative to encourage more girls to be active and take up sports. We spent a fun afternoon in company of 16 other primary schools.
