Talent Show 2018

Talent Show 2018

Our annual Middleton’s Talent Show took place on the last day of the last term of 2018.
The show is open to all the children and is designed to showcase all type of talents.
It may be that the children attend dance classes out of school, learn to play an instrument in their own time, just enjoy singing in the shower or even like to tell “Knock Knock” jokes.
This special event gives these children the opportunity to bring their talents into school and present them to the rest of their fellow pupils.
The 2018 show was full of talented pupils who showcased acrobatics, magic tricks, football skills, musical prowess.

Just before the new academic year began, we were successfully re-accredited with the International Schools Award for a further three years until 2021. This is a fantastic accolade for the school and recognition of how celebrating diversity and links with the wider world are fundamental to Middleton’s ethos. Our school was invited to attend the national award ceremony in London. The event took place in the Houses of Parliament and included a speech from Damian Hinds MP, the Secretary of State for Education, who extolled the virtues of schools such as Middleton for the work they do in encouraging children to have a global perspective.

Overall

Make sure that the Rights Respecting School Award is part of everyone’s education at Middleton and try to achieve the Gold award again.

Leadership

Make sure that the adults who help run the school (staff and governors) are working together to do the best they can for everyone at Middleton.

Keep the school running as normally as we can during the building works, and be ready for having an extra class start each year.

Teaching and learning

Teachers will try to help us to get even better at Maths and Writing. We will be given more time to do longer pieces of Writing by ourselves.

When we find things harder in Reading, Writing and Maths, teachers will try to give us extra help so we can catch up.
