Elmer Day fundraiser
The week commencing May 24th was Charity Awareness Week at Middleton. Children took part in various activities to enhance their understanding of the concept of 'charity', and also came up with some ideas to raise money as well as awareness. Our Year 4 children organised a sponsored walk in Wollaton Park and raised over £400 for the RSPCA - an amazing effort! On Friday, we celebrated Elmer Day - a day to celebrate inclusivity and for everyone to show their true colours. Hence, instead of school uniform all children and staff came in their choice of bright clothes. Everyone also came with a donation and together we raised about £550, which the children had decided would be donated to Stonebridge City Farm. Here are some pictures of one of our Y1 classes dressed brightly and displaying some of their Elmer activities.
