Sports Week, June 2022
The first week back after half term was devoted to a whole school Sports week. Children from F2 to Y6 took part in a wide range of activities both in school and off-site. These included: a climbing wall brought on-site for 3 days for every child in Y1 up to challenge themselves on, orienteering in Wollaton Park, Y1 and Y3 visiting Bluecoat Wollaton for athletics led by their PE team and student ambassadors, Y4 spending a day at the Rothesay Open at the Nottingham Tennis Centre (being coached and then watching professional matchplay), tennis coaching on-site from Izzy Bramhall from Wollaton Village Tennis Club, Y2s all bringing bikes or scooters for a riding session around the grounds, and a host of other games and activities such as kurling, boccia, cricket, basketball, handball and dodgeball.
