University of Nottingham Nursing Workshops

We have a close partnership with the Nursing programme at the University of Nottingham and each year we host several sessions where large groups of undergraduate nursing students come in and work alongside the children. This gives them first-hand experience with ‘patients’ to practise on and is really informative and enjoyable for our children. On May 8th, our Y3 children took part in a Vital Signs workshop. They learnt about a range of measuring equipment and techniques such as taking blood pressure and pulse rates; it was a fabulous, interactive session greatly enjoyed by both our pupils and the undergraduates!
