Parent partnership

In keeping with our Rights Respecting Schools ethos, we expect that all adults within the school community (staff, governors, parents/carers and visitors) will conduct themselves in an appropriate, respectful manner. Staff and governors adhere to a written Code of Conduct, and when children join Middleton we ask parents/carers to read and agree to the following guidelines as part of the Home-School agreement:

We have an open door policy at Middleton and endeavour to discuss any concerns that you may have as soon as possible. Most of these are dealt with quickly and informally through a face-to-face conversation or perhaps a phone call or email. However, there may be times when you feel that a concern you have has not been sufficiently addressed, or you may not be happy with the outcome. In such cases, we do have a Complaints Procedure that sets out the steps that should be followed to raise the concern more formally.

We are always keen to hear your views on how we're doing! Positive feedback is, of course, greatly appreciated, but we genuinely value suggestions on what we could try to do differently or better and constructive comments on aspects of school development for the future. We send out Parent/Carer surveys to gain a broad range of views which school leaders and governors review and consider, but we welcome ongoing feedback on a more informal basis too. In addition, at any time you can go on to Ofsted's 'Parent View' website to complete their questionnaire.
